Odoo's external API

Odoo exposes its whole data model over XML-RPC and JSON-RPC. Anything a user can do in the interface can be done from another system, with the same access rights applied.

Can we keep our WooCommerce or WordPress store?

Yes. Many clients keep the storefront they have invested in and let Odoo run products, stock, orders and accounting behind it. We sync both ways so stock on the website reflects the warehouse.

Can Odoo read our fingerprint attendance devices?

Yes. Devices such as ZKTeco can push their logs into Odoo attendance, so worked hours and payroll are calculated from real clock-in data instead of a spreadsheet.

Do you use Zapier or build custom connectors?

Both, depending on volume. Zapier or Make is perfect for low-volume, simple flows and costs nothing to maintain. For high volume or complex mapping, a custom module is cheaper and far more reliable in the long run.

Will an integration survive an Odoo upgrade?

If it is built as a proper custom module that extends Odoo rather than editing its core, yes, with a review at each major version. Integrations built by patching core files are the ones that break.

Can we send invoices and quotations on WhatsApp?

Yes, through a WhatsApp Business account connected to Odoo. You send from the sales order, invoice, CRM lead or helpdesk ticket, using approved templates, and replies come back into the same record.
